Body dignity • Education • Equality
Beyond the Scale challenges weight stigma, body bullying and discrimination — while helping create healthier conversations around bodies, food and self-worth.

Your body size should never determine your dignity, opportunities or worth.
Why we exist
Weight stigma can affect education, employment, healthcare, confidence and relationships with food.
Beyond the Scale exists to challenge the belief that a person's body determines their value, health, intelligence or character.
We campaign for change, educate young people and communities, and help create spaces where conversations about bodies and eating are safer, kinder and evidence-informed.
Campaigning against prejudice and unequal treatment based on body size.
Challenging harmful assumptions about weight, health, food and worth.
Body-image and eating-disorder education designed to prevent shame from becoming something deeper.
Beyond the Scale for Schools
Our school programme explores body image, weight stigma, bullying, eating-disorder awareness, respect and the language young people use about themselves and each other.
Eating disorders do not have one body type. Someone's appearance cannot tell you whether they are struggling.
Beyond the Scale promotes compassionate, non-stigmatising education and helps people find appropriate sources of support.

We are building a movement against size-based discrimination in education, healthcare, employment and everyday life.
